Tourism Journalist of the Year 2019

We invite you to participate in the second edition of the “Tourist Journalist of the Year” competition and submit the best journalistic materials of 2019 aimed at popularizing Polish tourism. The contest accepts newspaper and online articles, radio broadcasts, video materials and television programs, as well as photo essays that were created in the past year.

The public is invited to submit entries to the contest in four categories:

Video

Photo essay

Radio broadcast

Article

The 2019 Tourist Journalist of the Year contest is an event aimed at journalists, editors, reporters and photojournalists, and entries can be:

– newspaper article published in 2019;

– an online article published in an online portal in 2019;

– video content published in an online portal in 2019. (including streaming and pay-per-view portals) or on television;

– a radio or television broadcast in 2019;

– a unit article/audition published/broadcast in 2019, realized as part of editorial series;

– photographs, realized in 2019 as part of photo essays (3-6 photographs should be submitted).

The contest begins on January 23, 2020 – submissions can be sent until February 14, 2020, via the website: https://dziennikarzroku.polska.travel/

The competition jury will select the winners by March 12, 2020. The main prize, for each winner among the four competition categories, is PLN 3,000 net and will be awarded at the awards gala – April 16, 2020. Participation in the competition is free of charge.

The Chapter consists of:

– Chairman of the Chapter: Jacek Janowski, director of the National Tourism Promotion Department, PTO,

– Grzegorz Biedroń, president of the Malopolska Tourist Organization,

– Prof. Jacek Borzyszkowski, Higher School of Banking in Gdansk,

– Marta Chełkowska, president of the Pomeranian Regional Tourist Organization,

– Tomasz Koralewski, president of the Łódź Tourist Organization,

– Rafał Szlachta, director of the Tourism Department at the Ministry of Development.

The competition is being announced for the second time. Last year it was very popular among journalists covering tourism.
