Entities already belonging to the POLISH TOURIST BON base have a chance to apply for the CERTIFICATE project. Detailed information on the project can be found at: certyfikat.pot.gov.pl Entrepreneurs will find there: • application form • benefits of joining the project • collection of good practices The project has been divided into two activities. I stage of the action – applications until 31.05.2021! Entrepreneurs are asked to self-certify the use of good practices grouped into several categories. Among them are amenities for children, cooperation between tourism operators and service packages, updating data in the PTO database, how to inform and promote the voucher, and adherence to safe vacation standards, including hygiene principles, such as placing dispensers with hand sanitizer or protective masks available to guests on the premises, disinfecting rooms and equipment made available to guests, ensuring a safe distance between employees and guests, or having and adhering to procedures for dealing with suspected coronavirus infection in a person staying at the facility. In the catalog of criteria a lot of space was given to the issue of facilities for families with children, such as children’s menus, the provision of feeding seats in the restaurant, the availability of additional equipment such as cribs and baby changing facilities, security in the rooms or outdoor attractions for children – a garden, a playground or play area, a playground, the presence of entertainers. A separate category is the ability to accommodate and provide facilities for guests with disabilities. Places awarded the certificate can already be found on a map available on the Polish Tourist Voucher website bonturystyczny.gov.pl and the project website certyfikat.pot.gov.pl. Tourists will also be able to recognize them by special signage placed directly at the facilities, on their websites and in social media, as well as the Catalog of Good Practices and Certified Facilities, which will be issued by the Polish Tourist Organization upon completion of the project. However, the promotion of safe travel does not end with the completion of the project – the set of developed tools, practices and standards for safe leisure will serve as a model for creating common rules for the entire industry and expanding the base of safe facilities throughout Poland.
