In connection with the published by MEiN “List of Educational Points ” of the program Meet Poland. Lubuska Regional Tourist Organization “LOTUR” has sent a letter to Minister Chernak. Dear Minister, In connection with the MEiN’s “Get to know Poland” program, we would like to express our concern about the marginal treatment of Lubuskie Province. The “List of Educational Points for all grades” published by MEiN shows that schools applying for subsidized trips, in our area, will be able to choose only from 14 possible destinations. This is the narrowest catalog of possibilities for potential organizers of school trips among all provinces. First of all, we take the position that there are more educationally valuable destinations in Lubuskie, and many of those missing from the above list are much more attractive. As the largest tourist organization in the region, working closely with the Polish Tourist Organization and the Forum of Regional Tourist Organizations, we cannot be indifferent to such unfair treatment of our province against all others. What’s more, we receive many inquiries from directors of educational institutions regarding the presented Educational Points included in the Get to Know Poland program. We are aware of the fact that the Poznaj Polska program could have been implemented by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under fast-track procedures, but nevertheless, as the Lubuskie Regional Tourist Organization “LOTUR”, we cannot remain indifferent to the fact that our province has been pushed to the periphery of educational attractions available to Polish children and young people under the program. Therefore, we are awaiting information on the method of selection of Educational Points for the Poznaj Polska program, as well as an explanation of the disproportion in the number of Educational Points indicated by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage between individual provinces. Above all, we ask you to explain why the list of Educational Points includes the least number of destinations from our region. With best regards, LOTUR PRESIDENT /-/ Jadwiga Błoch
