A new tourist route has opened at the Museum of Fortifications and Bats in Pniewo near Miedzyrzecz. The escapade through the underground of the Międzyrzecz Fortified Region begins in bunker No. 717. It lasts three hours and ends in bunker 719, where a new attraction awaits visitors – a trapdoor that defended access to the facility. It was recently put into operation by museum staff and fortification enthusiasts. Museum director Leszek Lisiecki points out that this is the only active trapdoor of its kind in MRU bunkers and in the whole country.
