Lubuska Organizacja Turystyczna LOTur działa od grudnia 2004 Najważniejsze cele LOTur: Kreowanie i upowszechnianie wizerunku województwa jako regionu atrakcyjnego turystycznie w kraju i za granicą. Integracja środowisk samorządu terytorialnego, gospodarczego i zawodowego oraz osób, instytucji i organizacji zainteresowanych rozwojem turystycznym województwa. Zwiększenie liczby turystów odwiedzających województwo. Wzrost wpływów z turystyki. Poprawa infrastruktury turystycznej w województwie. Stworzenie regionalnego systemu informacji turystycznej oraz włączenie go w krajowe zarządzanie systemem „it”. Inicjowanie, opiniowanie, wspomaganie i współpraca z lokalnymi organizacjami turystycznymi. Inicjowanie, opiniowanie i wspomaganie planów rozwoju i modernizacji infrastruktury turystycznej. Koordynacja działań promocyjnych podejmowanych w województwie. Stworzenie platformy współpracy podmiotów gospodarczych turystyki z władzami regionalnymi i krajowymi.

Lubuska Tourist Organization LOTur for the year 2007

Lubuska Tourist Organization LOTur has been in operation since December 2004 The most important goals of LOTur:

  • Creation and dissemination of the image of the province as a region attractive to tourists in the country and abroad.
  • Integration of local, economic and professional government circles and persons, institutions and organizations interested in the tourist development of the province.
  • Increase in the number of tourists visiting the province.
  • Increase in revenue from tourism.
  • Improvement of tourist infrastructure in the province.
  • Creating a regional tourist information system and integrating it into the national management of the “it” system.
  • Initiating, giving opinions, assisting and cooperating with local tourist organizations.
  • Initiating, giving opinions and assisting with plans for the development and modernization of tourist infrastructure.
  • Coordinating promotional activities undertaken in the province.
  • Creating a platform for cooperation between tourism operators and regional and national authorities.

In 2007, as in 2006, the Lubuskie region is promoting itself under the slogan:

“FASHION FOR LUBUSKIE”

The border location of the voivodeship, makes the priority markets for the Lubuskie region are the markets of EU member states, especially the German market. The Ukrainian and Russian markets have also become important markets for tourist promotion, due to the growing interest in our country and province, tourists from those countries.The Lubuska Tourist Organization participated as an organizer or co-organizer in fair events at home and abroad, among others:

We would like to remind you that during the sixteenth edition of Poland’s largest International Tourism Salon TOUR SALON Poznań 2005, the Lubuskie region appeared as a partner region. We presented ourselves there for the first time under the premiere slogan for 2006 – “Fashion for Lubuskie”. Our region was awarded the prestigious prize for the best stand at TOUR SALON in terms of marketing – “Acantus Aureus”. The Lubuskie Tourist Organization, together with the Tourism Promotion Branch of the Marshal’s Office of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, participated in the promotion and distribution of the following publications until 16.04.2007, then together with the Polish PTO Centers abroad:

  • Tourist Guide-new edition, which has been updated and expanded with new items; language versions: Polish, German, English, Russian
  • Folder ” Lubuskie Welcomes”, language versions: Polish, German, English, French
  • Folder ” Active Tourism”, language versions: Polish, German, English, Russian, French
  • Leaflet ” Pearls of the Lubuska Land”, language versions: Polish, German, English
  • Leaflet” Economy”, language versions: Polish, German, English, Russian, Ukrainian
  • Leaflet “Lubuskie-culture and nature duet”, language versions: Polish, German, English, Russian, Ukrainian
  • Leaflet “Lubuskie-tourist attractions” language versions: Polish, German, English, Russian
  • Atlas of the Signed Bicycle Trails
  • Folder “Lubuskie Hits ” in four language versions: Polish, English, German, French
  • Map of Lubuskie das Urlaubsparadies vor der Tur in German

Another reminder:At the end of December 2004, an application was submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Labor for funding to carry out the task of writing the Tourism Development Strategy for the Lubuskie Province. LOTur obtained funds from which the writing of the strategy was co-financed. As a result of a tender, a contractor for the task was selected. The strategy was prepared using the expert-participatory method by a team of consultants and experts from the Polish Tourism Development Agency S.A. in cooperation with members of the project team from LOTUR and a broad social representation. “Lubuskie Tourism Development Strategy” is a planning document with a definite time horizon envisaged for the years 2006-2013, defining the main priorities of the Region’s policy on tourism, indicating specific activities and task programs written for implementation.It is thanks to the activities of LOTur that Lubuskie Voivodeship has such an important document necessary for the distribution of EU funds.

The Strategy identifies special priority areas that define the framework of the Region’s pro-tourism policy and the concentration of tourism development activities undertaken. The priorities contained in the Strategy are as follows:

  • Priority 1 Development of tourist products of Lubuskie land

This priority defines the activities:

Ø     Activity 1.1 Creation of an attractive offer of tourist products of the Lubuska Land

Ø     Activity 1.2 Construction of key infrastructure for the development of a strong product offer of the Region

Ø     Activity 1.3 Strengthening the competitiveness of tourist products

  • Priority 2 Tourist space and infrastructure

In the priority, we define activities:

Ø     Activity 2.1 Development of pro-ecological tourist infrastructure

Ø     Activity 2.2 Shaping and development of micro tourist spaces

Ø     Activity 2.3 Increasing the tourist accessibility of the Region through the development of transportation systems

  • Priority 3 Marketing support

The activities in this priority are;

Ø     Measure 3.1 Increasing the effectiveness of marketing activities carried out in the area of tourism of Lubuskie Land

Ø     Measure 3.2 Building a coherent and modern system of information and tourist identification of the Region.

  • Priority 4 Development of human resources for the needs of Lubuskie Land tourism

Ø     Activity 4.1 Formation of human resources for the needs of tourism service of the Lubuskie Land

Ø     Activity 4.2 Formation and education of youth through tourism

  • Priority 5 Institutional support

In the priority we define activities:

Ø     Action 5.1 Support for pro-tourism institutions and organizations in the Lubuska Land area

Ø     Measure 5.2 Creation of conditions for employment growth in the private sector of tourism of the Region

Ø     Action 5.3 Support for tourist enterprises of the Lubuskie Region

Ø     Measure 5.4 Support for innovation and creativity in tourism

Ø     Activity 5.5 Development of a monitoring and information acquisition system

Lubuskie Tourism Development Strategy for 2006 – 2013 was adopted by Resolution No. XXXVIII/276/2006 unanimously at the meeting of the Lubuskie Voivodship Assembly on February 6, 2006″ Lubuskie Tourism Development Strategy for 2006-2013″ and ” Lubuskie Land Tourism Audit” are documents that should contribute to:

  1. more effective use of structural funds;
  2. dynamic development of water tourism;
  3. activation and development of dormant tourist towns in Lubuskie;
  4. integration of tourist areas of the region;
  5. integration of activities;
  6. development of private offerings;
  7. improving the competitiveness of existing companies;
  8. strengthening the image of the Region in Poland and Central Europe;
  9. acceleration of revitalization and revalorization of many areas, sites, monuments;
  10. to activate the development of pro-ecological infrastructure;
  11. facilitate the creation of new “green” jobs in the Region;
  12. increase in the scale of investment in tourism;
  13. creation of integrated network tourism products. The strategy is an important document, which should not lie on the shelf, but should be implemented in practice, and this is something we must all remember!!!!!!!!!

Other promotional activities were also undertaken by LOTur in 2007:

Participation in competitions organized by the PTO as part of a campaign to promote domestic tourism:

–         Best tourism product of the region

–         Agrotourism and ecotourism

–         Bicycle paths

–         Assistance in the establishment of new Local Tourist Organizations

–         Assistance in the establishment of new Tourist Information Points

–         Establishment of cooperation with regional tourist organizations within the framework of the Forum of Regions and the Forum of Cities ( current opinion on documents sent by the PTO, Ministry of Tourism, Forum of Regions)

–         Activities related to the implementation of the “Tourism Development Strategy for Lubuskie Voivodeship”;

–         Conducting marketing research on Lubuskie land during the fair;

–         Issuance of materials promoting tourist attractions of Lubuskie Voivodeship: folder “Hity Lubuskie” in four language versions, map Lubuskie das Urlaubsparadies vor der Tur in German.

in the development of existing and the creation of new tourist products, among others, those awarded the Certificate of the Polish Tourist Organization.Among the awarded are:

“Woodstock Stop”

“The Republic of Birds”

“Nenufar Night”

“Summer with the Muses”

“Winobranie”

In 2007, the Lubuska Tourist Organization, with the consent of the product owners, submitted two proposals:

1.GREEN LAND OF FUN AND WINE EUROPEAN GARDENS OF ART
2.FORTIFICATIONS AND MILITARIA

In addition, there are two more products reported from the Lubuskie region
1.DAYS OF GREEN MOUNTAIN _ WINE HARVEST
2.tourist portal www.ziemialubuska.pl 

LOTUR mobilized by organizing an Internet campaign for Internet users to vote for the best product., Winobranie also received the award of the Internet users. The Chapter of the PTO distinguished only one, i.e. Winobranie   

 Lubuska Organizacja Turystyczna LOTUR closely cooperates with the Polish Tourist Organization and thus undertakes joint promotional undertakings.

  • Participation in international tourism fairs outside our country.
  • Activities related to procedures for awarding the PTO certificate to tourist attractions.
  • Implementation of the Internet System of Tourist Information (ISIT).
  • Providing information on the products and attractions of Lubuskie Province.
  • Creating a photo bank.
  • Participation in publications

One of the priorities of LOTUR’s activities is the development of a network of tourist information points in the Lubuskie region. This network is systematically expanding, providing professional tourist services to those interested in the tourist attractions of our region. 

On January 23, 2007, in Warsaw, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Polish Tourist Organization and the Lubuskie Tourist Organization LOTUR was signed once again.The subject of the agreement is cooperation between the organizations for the purpose of carrying out tourism promotion of the Lubuskie Province in the country and abroad.

The Polish Tourist Organization recognizes that LOTUR is its main institutional partner in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.The cooperation is carried out through the implementation of activities and so in 2007 in the field of, among others:

Promotional publications- Lubuskie hits four language versions – Organizing and conducting advertising broadcasts on Radio PLUS

–         Support of regional “it” administrators

–         Trainings in the field of “it” 

–         Trainings and workshops in the field of tourism product

–         Participation in national stands at international tourism fairs.

In addition to the activities outlined above, LOTur in 2007:

1. accepted patronage for four tourism events in the province

2. took part in a dozen tourism conferences organized in the country and the province

3. we gave a positive opinion on the designs of E-22b placards depicting tourist attractions on the car route

4. as part of the partnership in the project Tourism Common Cause we create and create new tourist products in our region more information in the additional document.

5. participation in the campaign Discover Ours Newly, website edited in cooperation with TVP2 www.odkryjnasze.pl

6. on October 17-19 in Zakopane takes place a conference
Popular-Scientific Conference on “TOURIST TRAILS AND TOURIST SPACE”.
The Lubusian Tourist Organization was represented at the conference by Mr. Jaroslaw Wnorowski (representative of the city of Zielona Gora – member of LOTUR) with a presentation entitled “Lubusian Hiking Trails and Tourism Space.

Lubuska Tourist Organization LOTur kept current information about promotional activities, hotel facilities, agritourism farms www.lotur.eu in 2007 on the website.
