On October 28 this year in Słońsk took place VI Tourist Sejmik within the framework of Lubuskie celebrations of World Tourism Day with the leading motto “Ornithological tourism as a tourist brand of Lubuskie voivodeship ” The Sejmik was attended by Lukasz Porycki vice-marshal of Lubuskie voivodeship, Jacek Janowski representative of the Polish Tourist Organization, President of Euroregion S-N-B Czeslaw Fiedorowicz, representatives of the tourism industry, local government officials, representatives of the “Mouth of the Warta River” National Park, representatives of landscape parks, foresters, associations active in tourism, residents of Lubuskie who are close to tourism. We also hosted representatives from West Pomerania and Greater Poland. Speakers Prof. Dr. Leszek Jerzak, Dr. Marek Maciantowicz touched on the subject of Birdwatching in the world and in Poland, Dr. Paweł Czechowski talked about ornithological tourism in the Lubuskie Province, Konrad Wypychowski, M.Sc., introduced us to the subject of the “Kingdom of Wild Geese – how to safely observe birds in the “Warta Mouth” National Park, while Izabella Engel spoke about nature tourism in the Warta Mouth – experiences and perspectives.

Can ornithological tourism be a tourist brand of Lubuskie Province?
Between the first part of the Sejmik and the second part, there was a ceremonial signing of an agreement on partnership cooperation on the promotion of tourist values and attractions of Lubuskie Province between: Lubuskie Regional Tourist Organization LOTUR and the Lubuskie Land Band of the Polish Scouting Association.
In the second part of the Sejmik there was a summary of the competition for the Best Tourist Product for the Lubuskie Tourist Pearl, the winners were presented with Lubuskie Tourist Pearls – the statuettes were funded by the Marshall of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, the S-N-B Euroregion, the Regional Directorate of State Forests and LOTUR,
After which, the Lubuskie Competition from the drone was summed up – the golden dragonfly was presented to the winners with statuettes and prizes. Voucher prizes were sponsored by Mierzęcin Palace wellness & wine resort, Lubuski Conservator of Monuments book items and Lubuskie RARITIES donated by the Regional Center for Regional Product. Golden dragonfly statuettes were purchased as part of the project Lubuskie from a drone – a public task co-financed from funds received from the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
